7th Annual Twilight Bicycle Race
July 17th, 24th, 31st, and August 7th!
To help finish up the series and prepare for the following 3 days of racing at the Tour of KC the Twilight is following a modified schedule. Total race length will be about the same for each race category but there will be 2 races per night to speed things along. A point’s race and an unkown points race will be featured. The unkown points race will receive points on the bell whenever the officials want to ring it, and the points will be determeind after the race. For the A’s that race will be 16 laps with 6 sprints! Those winning a points sprint will pull from a hat what their points will be, ranging from 1 point to 4 points. If in doubt, win every sprint!
Because of the success and support from the cycling community Revolution Racing is thinking about bringing back the old-style Twilight Race calendar format. That is 6 to 7 races from late May to early August throughout the summer. Hey and rumour has it that Perry-Roubaix may come back for April 2009. Revolution Racing only promotes races that are beginner, women, and junior friendly.

Overall Series Standings - FINAL
Introducing the 7th Annual Cycle Works Twilight Bike Race. Our recently paved course is one of the smoothest criterium courses around with 3 corners on the .5 mile course on the Haskell Indian Nations University Campus. Races start at 7 pm and finish up around 9:30 pm under the street lights. All three race category’s race three times per night and race distance vary from 3 miles to 10 miles per race. Racers will experience races like the miss-n-out, win-n-out, scratch race, and points races. These races are modeled after track racing and put a premium on bike handling ability, aggressiveness, and of course sprint power. Not a sprinter? No worries, with a little creative thinking plenty of ways to get off the front as well. A slight incline on the course allows the non-sprinters plenty of opportunity to jump away.
Bring the kids and family and hang out on the hill as the action unfolds, many new racers have honed their criterium skills on the Twilight Course. An added bonus is that it has never rained during a race in seven years! The free kid’s race is for kids 1 year old up to 14 years old, just be sure to have a helmet and a bicycle or trike. Everyone is a winner and receives a first place award and recognition of their hard work.

VeloTek Grand Prix - Great Racing
The VeloTek Grand Prix Stage Race final had great weather and even greater racing. Racing was highlighted by fourty-four Cat 4 racers and strong team support from regional teams. Oz Racing, SKC, Team 360, GP VeloTek and a strong contingent from Oklahoma all played a significant roll in the race. The women's race was very competitive with Bicycle Shacks Woiwood stealing the show. OKC Velo rider Peter Erdos was seen debating all weekend in the pack but carried through with his words and won the Cat 3's road race and GC with aggressive riding. Check back later today for results and later this week for photos and race recap. We have over 500 photos of the all three stages with some great shots of the road race finish.
